BLACK CARE 2023
A Windrush 75 Poetry Project
Celebrating Black History Month and Care Leavers week in October.
Our Black Care programme amplified and celebrated the voices and stories of Britain’s Black Care Leavers and commemorates the legacy of the Windrush generation.
We hold space for the experiences of Black people in the care system, raise awareness, educate decision makers and help improve the experience of Black children in the care of the local authority today.
Black Care 23 was been made possible using public funding from the National Lottery Community Fund;
in partnership with Stephen Lawrence Research Centre as part of De Montfort University's BHM calendar.
