BLACK CARE 23

Windrush 75 Poetry Project
Celebrate Black History Month
and
Care Leavers week this October.
Our Black Care programme amplifies and celebrates the voices and stories of Britain’s Black Care Leavers and commemorates the legacy of the Windrush generation.
Join us while we hold space for the experiences of Black people in the care system, raise awareness, educate decision makers and help improve the experience of Black children in the care of the local authority today.
Black Care 23 has been made possible using public funding from the National Lottery Community Fund;
in partnership with Stephen Lawrence Research Centre as part of De Montfort University's BHM calendar.
Exact locations to be confirmed.
Free community poetry workshops which mark 75 years of Windrush to be announced.
